our girl is three!

Julia is three! She was delighted this morning to wake up to pink pancakes that spelled out her name! 

It was even more fun when we stuck candles in them and sang Happy Birthday.

We got her a fish tank to put in her room, and after school we made a trip to the pet store to pick out some fish. She picked guppies - one orange, one yellow and one blue. 

At school, they read her "birthday story" to the class (which mom made the night before per request from her teacher ~ a great idea!). She also shared single serving cups of rainbow sherbet with all her friends at school. When she got home, we had special cookies and cupcakes. Needless to say, she was super wired and very happy. In Julia's words: "I'm a happy birthday girl."  Julia has been such a blessing for us and we thank our dear Lord for our special gift everyday. We are going to have her birthday party on Saturday...she has been talking about having a birthday party since January, wanting her friends to come to her house to play! We are looking forward to the very much anticipated fun.
